Chatfield, a lifetime Cambridge Who's Who member, has a diverse portfolio designing fine interiors for a variety of properties across the United States.

With 10 years of professional experience, Chatfield has an impressive background in residential interior design. In 1996 she started Chatfield Design, LLC, a full-service firm that will provide the furniture, fabrics and wall coverings for a multitude of residential settings. Her diverse portfolio includes a beachfront property in Florida, a French country styled project in South Louisiana and several historical renovations in Maine. Chatfield Design, LLC references past classic, successful styles and updates them with unique and innovative design. "I believe that decorating a home is about being comfortable," says Chatfield, who infuses natural fabrics such as linen and cotton, embroidered fabrics, prints and Toile de Jouy into her work.

Before launching her design endeavour, Deborah owned and operated a small women's apparel business in Louisiana. Chatfield received her certification in interior design from the Sheffield School of Interior Design in New York in 2006. She is a member of the International Interior Design Association.
