Jackson Design & Remodeling Takes Home Five Regional Contractor of the Year Awards & Advances to National Finals
San Diego remodeling firm Jackson Design & Remodeling takes home five regional Contractor of the Year awards, now eligible for national finals.


SAN DIEGO, CA, January 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- San Diego remodeling firm Jackson Design & Remodeling (JDR), winner of the 2009 BBB Torch Award for Business Ethics, is proud to announce it has received five regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards. The winners were announced Friday by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

JDR won CotYs in five of 22 residential categories, including: Residential Bath under $30,000, Residential Bath $30,000 - $60,000, Entire House $500,000 - $1,000,000, Residential Historical Renovation/Restoration (awarded for the remodel of a kitchen, laundry room and bathroom in a 100-year-old historical home built by famed architect William Templeton Johnson) and Residential Universal Design (a project utilizing the essential principles of universal design: providing the same means of use for people with diverse abilities, flexibility of use, simple and intuitive design, perceptible information, tolerance for error, low physical effort, and size and space for approachable use. The result is a stunning home, accessible and usable for all).

An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant's "before and after" photography and project description. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Regional CotY winners will now advance as finalists to the national level.
