Jackson Design and Remodeling Wins Two Chrysalis Awards
Chrysalis Awards recognize the nation's best remodeling work.
SAN DIEGO, CA, May 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackson Design & Remodeling (winner of the 2007 and 2009 BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics) is proud to announce the company has been honored with two 2011 Chrysalis awards as judged by The American Institute of Building Design and by editors from Better Homes & Gardens and Southern Living Magazines. The winning projects and companies will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Professional Remodeler Magazine.
JDR is the winner for the entire West Region of the U.S. in the category Kitchens $50,000-$75,000. Interior Designer Rosella Gonzales designed the award-winning project, a kitchen in a beach condo for a professional couple in their 50s. The husband, an avid body surfer, wanted to make some changes to the kitchen design to better accommodate his arrival home from the beach in full wetsuit attire. The resulting kitchen design achieves a casual feeling in line with the condo's role as a getaway destination, while also communicating the homeowners' fresh, modern and uncomplicated point of view.
JDR was also named West Region winner in the category Bath Remodel Over $60,000 for the remodel of a master bath in a San Diego couple's historical Spanish Revival house. The remodel was designed by Senior Designer Tatiana Machado-Rosas and provides modern comfort and function while honoring the original character of the home.
"I want to congratulate our team on their hard work," said Todd Jackson, President of Jackson Design and Remodeling. "It is an honor to be recognized against so many amazing projects from all over the country. We're all excited and inspired by these two awards and we're looking forward to continuing to provide exceptional work for our clients."
Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the 18th annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The winning projects were selected from hundreds of entries. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
